This complex is the sixth separate subway line in Iran and it is also the second city that has an intercity subway line. The total length of this complex will reach 126.5 km in the future.

In big cities, Subway is considered as a basic solution to reduce traffic and air pollution in big cities. The high speed of transportation and its low cost have led to the expansion of the use of the Subway. The ever-increasing development of the Subway and increasing its use requires equipping facilities and reducing risks. It is the supply of high-quality fireproof and halogen-free cables that have a significant effect in the event of a fire.

On 1/10/1380, the Karaj and Suburbs Urban Train Organization has officially started its activities with the notification of the statutes by the Minister of Interior, with the aim of solving the problems in the continuation of the construction of the Karaj-Golshahr high-speed train route and extensive studies of mass rail transportation in Karaj.

According to the conducted studies, the criterion for the necessity of using the urban train is the presence of at least 10,000 passengers in the dominant direction during peak traffic hours, and in some routes this amount will reach more than 15,000 or even 30,000 passengers per peak hour.
